My travels opened my eyes to the inequalities and injustices in the world.
I wanted to write to give more credibility to my articles and photographs.
I wanted my work to be not only a testimony, but also a concrete contribution to tell and expose the injustices I encountered along the way.
My thirst for knowledge and desire for discovery I put inside a 30-liter backpack, my faithful companion on adventures. I often travel alone, immersing myself in local cultures, trying to experience and understand each place I visit. At first, I tried to keep a travel journal, but soon realized that words could not fully capture what I was seeing and hearing. So it was that I turned to photography, finding in it the perfect medium to image the emotions I was experiencing, to witness what was in front of my eyes. Photography does not change reality, but it has the power to reveal it in all its intensity.
